LONDON — Here are the top goalscorers in the English Premier League on Sunday, February 12. The battle for the Golden Boot could not have been any closer and it is being dominated by strikers.
After netting a double for Arsenal in the 2-0 win against Hull City on Saturday, Chile forward Alexis Sanchez takes over the lead on the scoring chart.
Sanchez has now bagged 17 Premier League goals this season.
He is followed by Everton frontman Romelu Lukaku, who has netted 16 times already in the EPL, while Diego Costa of Chelsea and Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Manchester United have scored 15 each in the league.
Also reaching double-digit scoring in the Premier League this season are Jermain Defoe of Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane, who both have 14 goals after 25 Weeks of matches.
Sadio Mane, who fired home a brace for Liverpool in the 2-0 win over Spurs on Saturday, Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) and Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur) have all banged in 11 goals already in the EPL, while Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has 10 goals already to his name.
