Terrell Owens says he’s left Seattle Seahawks

SEATTLE (Sporting Alert) — Terrell Owens on Sunday tweeted that he was no longer a member of the Seattle Seahawks team.

“I’m no longer a Seahawk,” Owens wrote on his official Twitter account.

“I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I’m truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver.”

Owens had only just signed a one-year contract with the Seahawks in early August.

The six-time Pro Bowler played in two NFL preseason games where he caught two passes for 41 yards before the news broke that he was released.

The veteran wide receiver hasn’t played competitively in NFL since the 2010 season when he featured for the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 38-year-old Owen, who was put on the sidelines last April after he tore his ACL, is now hoping to land another job that is more permanent than this last one, which lasted just three weeks.
