LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Theo Walcott is back in Arsenal starting team for tonight’s 3rd round Capital One League Cup against Coventry at Emirates Stadium.
Walcott has been starting on the bench for Arsenal in past games this season, following a contract and position row, but manager Arsene Wenger decided to hand the England international a starting place tonight.
Andrey Arshavin is also in the starting team for the Gunners, which will be hoping striker Olivier Giroud will grab his first goal for the Premier League club since moving to London in the summer.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Francis Coquelin and Andre Santos are all on the bench, while the new look defensive line includes the faces of Johan Djourou, Ignasi Miquel and Andre Santos.
Damian Martinez starts in goal, while Sebastien Squillaci, Emmanuel Frimpong and Marouane Chamakh all start as substitutes.
