MIAMI, Sporting Alert – Two NBA games are broadcasting live on TNT on Thursday night and both games are also available to stream on TNT Overtime and the Watch TNT app.
MIAMI V CHICAGO
Dwyane Wade makes his first visit to South Beach on the night when he and the Chicago Bulls visit the American Airlines Arena to take on the Miami Heat.
The veteran guard spend 13 seasons in Miami and won three NBA titles, including two with LeBron James, but a breakdown in negotiation saw him departing for Chicago as a free agent last summer.
He has since spoken about his feelings towards Heat president Pat Riley, adding they haven’t spoken since his departure.
“I think you guys know I haven’t talked to him,” Wade, who scored 25 points in a 115-107 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, told reporters. “It’s as simple as that.
“I think I’ve been very open and honest about my respect and love with Pat. I’ve been honest that I haven’t spoken to him since (last) season ended.”
Wade, who average 23.6 points, 5.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds in his career with the Heat, is currently putting up 17.9 points, 2.9 assists and 4.0 rebounds per contest through eight games for Chicago (4-4).
Miami, meanwhile, is off to a patchy start to the season after losing four of their last five games.
The Flames (2-4) have been resting since suffering a 97-85 road loss at the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.
Heat fans will certainly be rooting for the home side on Thursday, but will no doubt take the time to give Wade a warm reception.
“That will be a special moment,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters.
Spoelstra remained in contact with Wade.
“It means a lot to all of us, including myself. We know how to compartmentalize.”
KINGS V LAKERS
Also streaming Live on TNT Overtime and the Watch TNT app is the battle between the improving Los Angeles Lakers and the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center.
The Lakers and coach Luke Walton both have ambitions to make the playoffs this year out of the Western Conference and although it’s still early, many believe they have a shot.
Despite dropping their last game, 109-97 at home against the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles (4-4) has been in good form recently, winning three of its last four games, including beating the Warriors and the Hawks during that period.
Meanwhile, besides the games streaming live on TNT Overtime and televising on TNT, there are also three other contests on the schedule, with the Golden State Warriors visiting the Denver Nuggets and the Milwaukee Bucks hosting the New Orleans Pelicans.
