Sporting Alert – First round battles in the 2015 NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship gets underway on Saturday with 15 matches.

The opening round fixtures this weekend is set for campus locations where the winners will move on to join host Mobile (Ala.) in Orange Beach, Ala. – the NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship final site.

The battle will then heat up following the Thanksgiving break, and will take place from Nov. 30 – Dec. 5 at the Orange Beach SportsPlex.

Defending national champion Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is among the listed teams that will play host for the opening round on Saturday.

Baker (Kan.), Benedictine (Kan.), Campbellsville (Ky.), Eastern Oregon, Grace (Ind.), Hastings (Neb.), Kansas Wesleyan, Keiser (Fla.), Martin Methodist (Tenn.), Northwestern Ohio, Spring Arbor (Mich.), Vanguard (Calif.), Westmont (Calif.) and William Carey (Miss.) – will also host an opening round game.

No. 1 seeded Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) (16-1-2) which has been in impressive form this season will hope to continue on that run when they tackle Point Park (Pa.) (12-6-2).

The Blue Raiders hunt their fifth NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship all-time and their third in that past four years.
