The No. 3 Duke (24-3, 11-3 ACC), enters the contest after beating Boston College 89-68 on Sunday, a game in which five Blue Devils players scored in double digits.

Rasheed Sulaimon led the way with a career-high 27 points with Mason Plumlee supporting with a fine double/double of 19 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

Come Thursday night, the Virginia Cavaliers (19-8, 9-5 ACC) will look to build on the 82-54 thumping of Georgia Tech on Sunday with another win over a Duke side that has shown that it will cave if put under enough pressure.

Virginia have won four of its last six games and played very close with No. 5 Miami, who defeated Duke 90-63 when they met last month.

It could be a special night for Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski, who with a win tonight will match Dean Smith for the second-most wins at one school. He is also one victory away from pulling even with Smith as the only coaches in history to capture 400 or more ACC wins.

Duke and Virginia have face-off 163 times heading into Thursday night’s game with the Blue Devils leading the series 115-48.
