(Sporting Alert) — No. 3 ranked Oregon will look to stay undefeated this season when they take on Arizona State in Tempe in NCAA college football action on Thursday night.
Arizona State (5-1) has had an impressive start to the season so far, but Oregon (6-0) could prove to be a handful come Thursday night.
“We are 6-0 and the team understands that we control what we can control,” Oregon coach Chip Kelly said.
The Ducks have won the last four meeting against the Sun Devils, with the last victory being a comfortable 41-27 last year.
In fact, Oregon has kept Arizona State at 27 or below points in three meetings, but managed to put more than 40 points on the offensive side against their opponents.
In the all-time series between the two teams, the record is locked at 16-16 apiece, but the Ducks have ran away victorious seven straight times, and have snatched 11 of the last 14, dating back to 1998.
“We can’t have any mishaps or anything like that. We need to find a way to win when we play Oregon,” safety Chris Young told Arizona State’s official website.
