MADRID, Sporting Alert – Luis Suarez netted a brace and Barcelona hammered Real Madrid 4-0 in the Spanish La Liga El Clasico clash at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.
The home side was reduced to 10-man after Isco was sent off in the 85th minute.
Neymar and Andres Iniesta were also on target for the visitors, who extended their lead at the top of the La Liga standings to six points over Real Madrid.
Lionel Messi returned to action for Barcelona in the second half, after he was out for two months with a knee injury.
The Argentine international replaced Ivan Rakitic, who was also coming back from a calf problem – in the 57th minute.
Suarez broke the deadlock for the defending champions when he first-time slotted home a ball past goalkeeper Keylor Navas in the 11th minute after he was played in by midfielder Sergi Roberto, who ran through the Real Madrid midfield before making his delivery.

Barcelona went into the halftime break leading 2-0 on the road and the home fans were left stunned.
