No. 8 Stanford Cardinal looks for another win over Washington Huskies

(Sporting Alert) — No. 8 Stanford Cardinal will take on the Washington Huskies in a NCAA football Pac-12 conference outing at CenturyLink Field in Seattle on Thursday night.

The Game Starts @ 9:00pm ET.

The Stanford Cardinal (3-0, 1-0 Pac-12) return to action following its shocking 21-14 win over Southern California on Sept. 15, and are expected to pick up another victory tonight.

The victory showed that Stanford are living life after the departure of several top players, including NFL No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Luck.

Victory over Southern California was big for the program, but Cardinal head coach David Shaw isn’t getting too carried away.

He’s just looking for his team to go out and deliver again in the next game.

“I don’t want to treat it like a national holiday,” Shaw was quoted as saying last week. “We won a football game. Great. We have another one (Thursday).

“We have talked about not being a flash in the pan. “We don’t want to be that team known for one victory.

“We want to be known for victory after victory. We want to be consistent, stacking wins on top of wins.”
