ABC, ESPN3 & WatchESPN.com: Miami Heat v Oklahoma City Thunder

MIAMI (Sporting Alert) — LeBron James and the Miami Heat will look to secure the vital win that would see them lifting the NBA title tonight at the expense of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Heat lead the series 3-1, after recovering from a sloppy first quarter in Game 4 where the Thunder opened up a 17 point deficit in the early goings.

This time, James and his teammates are hoping to not let their opponent get away that far again, as it could be very difficult this time round to come back.

Even if Miami should lose Thursday night, the team still hold the advantage heading into what would be Game 6, but James – looking for his first ring after several disappointments – including last year’s defeat to the Dallas Mavericks, will treat the game as though it’s the last one.

“We’re coming in with that Game 7 mentality,” James said. “We understand that there’s no tomorrow, we have that mindset right now.

“We’re preparing for (Game 5) as if it’s our last game.”

Of course he is anxious to win his first championships, as to get people off his back, but at the same time, James isn’t getting too carried away.

“I’m just focused on the game, and everything else will take care of itself,” James said. “People are going to have their opinions about me no matter what — win, lose or draw.

“That’s one thing I can’t worry about. People are going to have their opinions about me, what they think about me, what I should do, what I shouldn’t do, so on and so on.

“But for me as a basketball player and for me as a leader, I just have to go out and do what I know I’m capable of doing.”
