(Sporting Alert) — Action in the Africa Cup of Nations Group B takes center stage on Monday, with all four teams still in contention to qualify for the quarterfinal stage of the tournament.
Group B leaders enter their contest with Niger as the favourites and will be looking to seal pole position in the group with a win in Port Elizabeth and move on to the last eight undefeated.
Niger, in the meantime, need a big win and hope for a favourable result in the next game to stay in the competition.
In the second game in Group B today, second place Mali will tackle DR Congo and victory would see them taking a place in the quarterfinal.
Mali can also more on with a draw if Niger failed to win their game, but their eyes are well set on winning the group.
DR Congo, in the meantime, must win their game to progress from the zone.
