MIAMI, FL (November 26) —— The AP Top 25 scores and results from the college basketball games that took place on Friday, November 26. There were some interesting and entertaining results on the day with No. 1 North Carolina and No. 3 Kansas both suffering defeats.

Starting at the top, the top-ranked North Carolina (5-1) suffered a loss for the first time this season after losing 70-65 to Iowa State at the Phil Knight Invitational to set up a clash with No. 18 Alabama on Sunday after the Crimson Tide also lost to No. 20 UConn, 82-67 at the tournament.

Third-ranked Kansas, meanwhile, also suffered its first defeat of the new season after going down 64-50 to No. 22 Tennessee in the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis 2022 championship game on Friday night. The Jayhawks fell to 6-1 on the season after the defeat and will hope to rebound against Texas Southern on Monday.

Elsewhere, No. 5 Virginia (5-0) beat Md.-Eastern Shore 72-45, No. 6 Gonzaga (4-2) lost to No. 24 Purdue, 84-66, while No. 8 Duke (6-1) beat Xavier 71-64 on the day.
