AP Top 25 College Football Rankings Week 10: Oct. 20

The AP Top 25 college football rankings, as Alabama stays No. 1, with Michigan, Clemson, Washington, Louisville and Ohio State following.

MIAMI, FL, Sporting Alert – Alabama stays No. 1 in Week 10 of the AP Top 25 College Football Rankings on Sunday.

The Crimson Tide (9-0) collected 60 of the 61 first-place votes from the media panel for 1,524 points, despite being inactive this past weekend.

Last time out, Alabama defeated Texas A&M, 33-14, while the next battle will be against the No. 15 LSU Tigers this coming weekend.

Meanwhile, Michigan, Clemson and Washington continue to follow the Crimson Tode at the top of the AP Top 25 college football rankings in Week 10.

The Wolverines (8-0), who collected the other first-place vote this week, stayed at No. 2 after beating Michigan State 32-23 in their Big Ten rivalry showdown on Saturday.

Clemson rallied to beat then-No. 12 Florida State 37-34 in its ACC battle on Saturday to remain at No. 3, while Washington defeated then-No. 17 Utah 31-24 to keep its No. 4 slot.

All top four teams have an 8-0 record thus far this season.

Louisville comes back at No. 5 this week, with Ohio State staying grounded at No. 6.

The Cardinals slipped by Virginia 32-25 and the Buckeyes held off Northwestern 24-20.

Texas A&M is up two spots to No. 7, Wisconsin is up three places to No. 8 after handing Nebraska its first loss of the season, while the Badgers dropped two spots to No. 9 and Florida moved up four places to complete the top 10.

The travelling Auburn Tigers and Oklahoma Sooners are both up four places to No. 11 and No. 12, respectively, Baylor dipped five slots to No. 13, West Virginia is four places down to No. 14 after first loss of the season to Oklahoma State, while LSU moves up four places to complete the top 15.

Oklahoma is highest placed Big 12 team in the poll this week, which means that there is no side from the conference ranked in the top 10.

Utah, Western Michigan, North Carolina, Florida State, which dropped seven places and Penn State round out the top 20.

Oklahoma State, after beating then-No. 10 West Virginia 37-20 returns to the rankings at No. 22, while Washington State, which has won six straight and is undefeated at 5-0 in the PAC-12, comes into the rankings this week, at No. 25.

Tennessee (18) and Navy (22) were the teams dropping from the AP Top 25 college football rankings in Week 10.
