Arsenal News: Ramsey To Miss Everton Clash

LONDON, Sporting Alert – Midfielder Aaron Ramsey will not play for Arsenal in Saturday’s English Premier League clash with Everton, the club revealed on Arsenal.com on Thursday.

Ramsey, who has struggled with his form this season, has suffered a hamstring injury and manager Arsene Wenger revealed that he will not be available for the weekend.

The Frenchman believes Ramsey will be out until at least after the next international break.

The Wales international was taken off just before the hour mark in Tuesday’s Champions League 2-0 win over Bayern Munich, and Wenger thinks that playing the Euro 2016 qualifier against Andorra contributed to the problem.

“He had a scan today but he’s out. I believe he will be out until after the next international break,” Wenger said on www.arsenal.com.

“With the [last] international break, the fact that he played against Andorra certainly cost [Real Madrid’s Gareth] Bale and him as well.”

Ramsey is expected to return to action a month from now.

Meanwhile, Arsenal also confirmed that goalkeeper David Ospina will also remain on the sidelines as he continues to recover from an injury, but is due back after the international break as well.

“David Ospina is out for our next game and certainly until the next international break,” the boss added.

Forward Danny Welbeck and midfielders Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky will be out until the New Year, Wenger confirmed.

Arsenal can go top of the Premier League standings with a victory over Everton on Saturday, as leaders Manchester City will not be in action until Sunday when they face Manchester United in the derby clash.
