Arsenal v Stoke Starting Teams

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — New signing Nacho Monreal has been handed his Arsenal debut for today’s English Premier League clash against Stoke City at Emirates Stadium.

In total manager Arsène Wenger made five changes to his side for the clash with Laurent Koscielny replacing the injured Thomas Vermaelen, while midfielder Mikel Arteta returns to captain the team with Aaron Ramsey dropping to the bench.

Playmaker Santi Cazorla, however, will also start on the bench, as winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain starts. Wenger has also brought in Abou Diaby to start in place of Lukas Podolski.

Arsenal are without left-back Kieran Gibbs, who could be out for up to six weeks with a thigh injury in sustained in midweek against Liverpool.

Peter Crouch, meanwhile, starts for Stoke City.
