LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Arsene Wenger made seven changes to the Arsenal FC side for the clash at Emirates Stadium against West Bromwich Albion.
However, there was still no Theo Walcott, who is ruled out of this contest so too are Laurent Koscielny (thigh) and Andre Santos (abdomen).
Back comes striker Olivier Giroud, who will be the big goal threat, while midfielders Mikel Arteta and Santi Cazorla, expected to be the main playmakers, also return.
German attacker Lukas Podolski, who was doubtful for the contest is named on the Arsenal bench, along with Aaron Ramsey but Per Mertesacker, Kieran Gibbs and Bacary Sagna, back from an ankle injury, all start.
Wojciech Szczesny continues in goal, as expected, while Thomas Vermaelen, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gervinho get Wenger call.
Peter Odemwingie and Shane Long lead the West Bromwich attack, with Romelu Lukaku on the bench.
