(Sporting Alert) — The following is the live TV schedule and information for the Aston Villa vs Manchester City Barclays Premier League game Monday night.
The game will be broadcast live on a number channels, including ESPN2, Sky Sports 1, as well as online at ESPN3.com. Live radio commentary can also be heard on TalkSport Radio and BBC Radio 5 Live.
Defending champions Manchester City find themselves 15 points adrift of leaders city rivals Manchester United and must record a win on Monday night to keep their hopes of catching the front runners in the points standings.
Roberto Mancini’s side is coming off a 2-0 victory over Chelsea last weekend where they cut United’s lead to 12 points.
However, with Man United winning on Saturday, the gap has again widened and Mancini has urged his players to continue digging deep and responding.
“Aston Villa are in a difficult situation. I don’t know their situation very well but for me they have good players,” the Italian coach said.
“Maybe they have young players and this is the reason they fight against relegation.
“But it is my opinion they have good players and probably they don’t deserve to stay there.”
Aston Villa, in the meantime, are in the bottom three in the ELP standings, but a win or draw today would see them going above Wigan in 17th.
They are on 24 points, the same as Wigan.
