LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Tottenham will be looking to prove that they are not a one man team when they take on Everton without star player Gareth Bale in the Barclays Premier League at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
Tottenham are third in the Premier League standings, while Everton are sixth.
Manager Andre Villas-Boas has made five changes to the team that came from behind to draw 2-2 with Basel in the Europa League in midweek, with Clint Dempsey replacing the injured Bale.
Also coming are Michael Dawson, Kyle Walker, Steven Caulker and Gylfi Sigurdsson, while Emmanuel Adebayor and Lewis Holtby start and winger Aaron Lennon out completely.
Everton, in the meantime, start 19-year-old Ross Barkley for striker Nikica Jelavic, while Kevin Mirallas passed a fitness test on his groin injury to start as well.
However, Marouane Fellaini and Steven Pienaar, two vital pieces in the midfield of the park for the visitors, are both suspended.
