Barclays English Premier League Standings – Dec. 14

(Sporting Alert) — Manchester United heads into this weekend’s round of fixtures on top of the Barclays Premier League standings and look strong favourites to keep its advantage at the top.

Heading into this week’s set of games, Manchester United lead the league table with 39 points, six more than defending champions and arch rivals Manchester City, who currently sits second on 33 points.

The league table also sees Chelsea sitting thing with 29 points, while Everton sits in a Champions League qualifying place at the moment with 26 points.

The top ten is completed by Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion, who are also on 26 points in fifth and sixth, while Arsenal (24), Swansea City and Stoke City (23) and Liverpool (22), who broke into the top half for the first time this week with a win over West Ham United, follow that group.

Queens Park Rangers, without a win and nine defeats hold up the league table with seven points, with Reading, nine points and Wigan, 15 points, also sit in the relegation zone.
