(Sporting Alert) — Manchester United moved 15 points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League table, while QPR landed a crucial win and Chelsea went back to third in the EPL standings.

Manchester United 4-0 Norwich City
At Old Trafford, Shinji Kagawa scored his first hat-trick for Manchester United and became the second Red Devils to reach the mark this season, as the league leaders went 15 points clear at the top with a 4-0 win over Norwich. Striker Wayne Rooney grabbed Man United’s other goal with a wonderful striker in the 90th minute, as his team side move further clear of defending champions and fierce-rivals Manchester City, who play Aston Villa on Monday night.
Chelsea 1-0 West Bromwich
Demba Ba helped eased the pressure off interim manager Rafa Benitez after he scored the only goal in Chelsea’s 1-0 win over West Brom at Stamford Bridge. The Blues went back to third with the win, as Tottenham doesn’t play until Sunday when they matchup with Arsenal in the London derby.
Southampton 1-2 QPR
Bottom place QPR stayed at the basement of the standings, but manager Harry Redknapp’s side grabbed a vital win that came in handy in their push for survival. On Redknapp’s birthday, the visitors picked up a needed 2-1 win over Southampton at St Mary’s. Loic Remy gave QPR the lead, but Gaston Ramirez levelled the score with a close-range finish just before half-time. QPR sealed the win and all three points when Jay Bothroyd scored what turned out to be the winner in the 77th minute.
Everton 3-1 Reading
Everton played themselves back into Champions League contention with a 3-1 result over the wobbling Reading at Goodison Park. Marouane Fellaini, Steven Pienaar and Kevin Mirallas scored for Everton, while Hal Robson-Kanu had the consolation for Reading.
Wigan 0-4 Liverpool
Striker Luis Suarez netted a hattrick on Saturday on Saturday, as Liverpool hammered a woeful Wigan 4-0 at the DW Stadium. The win pushed Liverpool up to seventh in Barclays Premier League standings, while Wigan stayed one place above the drop zone. If Aston Villa managed to gain anything from their clash with Manchester City, Wigan will be back in the relegation zone, come Monday. Stewart Downing scored the other goal for Liverpool.
Swansea 1 – 0 Newcastle
League leaders Swansea City battled to a 1-0 win over Newcastle United to add to their celebration this week. Luke Moore scored the winner in the 85th minute to left Newcastle boss Alan Pardew frustrated.
Stoke City 0 – 1 West Ham
Substitute Jack Collison grabbed a vital goal just before half-time and West Ham held the advantage to beat Stoke City 1-0 on the road and pushed themselves further into the safety zone in the EPL.
Sunderland 2-2 Fulham
At the Stadium of Light, Sunderland played to a 2-2 tie with Fulham after fighting back from a two-goal deficit. Dimitar Berbatov scored from the penalty spot to put Fulham before Sascha Riether made it 2-0 ten-minutes minutes before the break. But Sunderland got goals from Craig Gardner, a penalty in the 37th minute and Stephane Sessegnon in the 70th minute to grab a point.
