MUNICH (Sporting Alert) — Goalscoring forward Mario Gomez netted a late tap-in for Bayern Munich to beat the Netherlands 3-2 in a friendly game in Munich on Tuesday night.

Gomez, who was a member of the Bayern team, which suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the Champions League on over the weekend, finished off an outstanding run from winger Franck Ribery in the 87th minute of place.
There were four goals scored in the opening 27 minutes of the game.
Earlier in the game, Toni Kroos scored to give Bayern a 16th minute lead, but striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar levelled things up two minutes later.
Luciano Narsingh then gave the Orange the lead in the 20th minute, before Nils Petersen pulled the German league side equal seven minute after that strike.
Gomez then game off the bench to seal the victory.
Elsewhere on Tuesday, Mohamed Salah scored two second half goals and Egypt beat Togo 3-0, while Artur Sobiech’s 82nd strike guided Poland to a 1-0 victory over Latvia.
