MUNICH (Sporting Alert) — Arsenal will look to deliver a Barcelona like performance away from home when they take on Bayern Munich in a Champions League last-16 second leg clash on Wednesday. This report will also include the live TV broadcasters.
Arsenal find themselves on the back foot entering the game after losing the first leg 3-1 at home, but the Barclays Premier League side remains hopeful of pulling off an upset at Allianz Arena.
The game will be broadcast live on TV channel and internet on Al Jazeera Sports, Foxsoccer2Go, Dolce Sport, Sky Sport 1, RTE Network 2 and NTV+ Football, amongst others.
The Gunners were already written off after the first leg thumping, but losing Jack Wilshere, Lukas Podolski and Bacary Sagna, makes it even more difficult to produce a comeback, a job many called “mission impossible.”
However, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is not giving up on his team’s chances and blanked those who’s already given up on his squad.
“It is not mission impossible,” Wenger said on Arsenal.com. “It can be done, but first of all you need 100 per cent commitment, attitude and things to go your way. But usually football goes your way when you have the right attitude.
“There is a kind of [feeling of] ‘let’s really play with freedom’. Let’s start strong. We have to create doubt in their mind and you only do that if you have a real go.
“The chance you have is to [make] insecure the certainty Bayern have at the moment. That you can only do if you perform at your best.
“We can have a real go without being silly. We can’t think that the game lasts 30 minutes and throw everything forward from the first minute on. We want to be positive but also intelligent.”
