COLUMBUS, OH, Sporting Alert – The college football Big Ten schedule for Week 13 on Saturday, November 26.

Must Watch Game In Week 13

As expected, the focus this weekend in the conference will come from Ohio Stadium in Columbus, where No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Michigan go head-to-head in a Big Ten East division rivalry showdown.

With Penn State breathing down their necks in third place, both the Buckeyes (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten) and the Wolverines (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten) know that any slip up this weekend could end their chance of making the College Football Playoff.

A win for Michigan would see them wrap up the Big Ten East and move on to play in the conference title game, while a win for Ohio State would more than likely secure Urban Meyers’ team’s place in the CFP.

At the same time, a victory for Ohio State and Penn State, which will take on Michigan State in another game, would see the Nittany Lions advancing to the conference title game on head-to-head meetings.

A Big Ten championship game without either Michigan or Ohio State would give the selection committee a lot of headaches.

Penn State (9-2, 7-1 Big Ten), which handed the Buckeyes their only defeat this season has been making a case for a College Football Playoff semi-final spot since beating Meyer’s men.

Penn State Ready For A Push

This weekend, the No. 7 Nittany Lions will host the Spartans (3-8, 1-7 Big Ten) at Beaver Stadium in University Park, PA, searching for their eighth successive win.

According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, Penn State has an 84 percent chance to beat Michigan State on Saturday and end a three-game losing streak in the series.

Like the Ohio State and Michigan battle, this game will also draw lots of interest in the Big Ten, with Michigan State looking to be playoff spoiler again and the Nittany Lions hoping to stay in the race to play for a national championship.

“I think we’ve had chances throughout every football game we’ve played this year,” said Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio.

“We’ve been ahead, and then something’s happened. That’s the game. We gotta be able to make plays at the end of a football game, this one’s no different.”

Wisconsin and Nebraska have identical records, but the Badgers hold the advantage in the head-to-head meeting after beating the Cornhuskers, 23-17 on Oct 29.

In other games in the Big Ten this weekend, Purdue will be at Indiana, Illinois travels to Northwestern, while
