Boston Celtics beat Brooklyn Nets, 101-97 in preseason

Boston, MA (Sporting Alert) — Brandon Bass and Avery Bradley scored 16 points apiece and the Boston Celtics defeated the Brooklyn Nets 101-97 in a NBA preseason game Wednesday night.

Bass, who went 6 for 10 from the field, also grabbed nine rebounds, while Bradley had four rebounds and three assists.

Vitor Faverani finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and six blocks in the win, with Gerald Wallace adding 14 points five assists and five rebounds for Boston, who picked up only their second win in preseason.

Tyshawn Taylor scored 15 points for the Brooklyn Nets, which played without former Boston Celtics stars Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce.

Andray Blatche added 14 points and Mirza Teletovic finished with 12.
