Boston holds off determined Cleveland, 103-100

BOSTON (Sporting Alert, Box Score) — Jeff Green and Jordan Crawford each scored 19 points and the Boston Celtics held on to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 103-100 at TD Garden on Saturday.

The Celtics (13-17) dominated the first half, which they led 59-44 at half-time, but the Cavaliers (10-19) battled back to make a game of it and almost pulled off the victory.

Green also finished with eight rebounds, while Crawford added five rebounds and five assists to his tally.

Avery Bradley had 15 points and eight boards while Brandon Bass added six rebounds and four assists in the win.

Kyrie Irving paced the Cleveland Cavaliers with a game-high 32 points, Dion Waiters added 17 and Jarrett Jack ended with 14 in the defeat.
