MEMPHIS (Sporting Alert, Box Scores) — The Memphis Grizzlies beat Golden State 105-98 on Tuesday night to stop the Warriors’ 16 game win streak.

Marc Gasol scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Zach Randolph added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies (20-4), who were securing their fifth straight win.

Mike Conley also scored 17 points in the win for Memphis, which used a 20-0 run in the second quarter to open up a big lead after trailing 30-24 at the end of the first quarter.

Klay Thompson paced the Warriors (21-3) with 22 points, while Stephen Curry finished with 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals in the defeat.

However, Curry, who is usually deadly from three-point range, was only 1 of 10 on the night, while shooting 9 of 25 from the field overall.

The All-Star guard also missed back-to-back three-pointers in the final 10 seconds with his team trailing by five.

The defeat saw Golden State’s 16-game franchise-record winning streak snapped, as the team had not dropped a game since losing at home to defending champions San Antonio Spurs on Nov 11.

Vince Carter, who knocked down three long-range shots to help the Grizzlies opened up a 14 point advantage in the second quarter, finished with a season-high 16 points, with Jon Leuer scoring 11 in the win.

Marreese Speights had 18 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Warriors, while Shaun Livingston finished with 12 and Harrison Barnes adding 11 points and eight rebounds for Golden State, which shot just 29.0 percent as a team from behind the arc.

The Warriors were again with  David Lee and  Andrew Bogut, who are both still injured.

Golden State will next face the Oklahoma City Thunder, while the Memphis will take on San Antonio — the last team to defeat them.
