(Sporting Alert) — Two goal hero from the last outing Oscar will go in search of more goals when Brazil take on Japan in friendly football international on Tonight.
Kaka, who is once again rounding into good form with Real Madrid, which saw him getting a recall to the Brazilian setup, was also on target and he too starts tonight.
The 30-year-old has impressed both country and club managers and he’s looking forward to remaining in the plans of both bosses, following a two year spell on the down side.
Hulk, Thiago Silva, David Luiz and Neymar are all starters for Brazil, but left-back Marcelo is ruled-out with a broken foot.
“Marcelo twisted his right foot and a fracture followed it. He will return to Madrid today and needs a three-month recovery period. Surgery is also not ruled out,” Brazil doctor Rodrigo Lasmar told Globoesporte.com.
The last time these two teams met was at the 2006 World Cup where Brazil won 4-1.
Meanwhile, Manchester United star playmaker Shinji Kagawa, who scored the winner and was impressive in the 1-0 win over France is hoping for a repeat.
“Brazil are stronger than France so it will be a real challenge,” he told L’Equipe.
“We have already said that our goal was to reach the quarter-finals of the next World Cup.
“We have two years to prepare for it, and we require more confidence in our game.”
