Brazil Team Against England: Ronaldinho, Oscar to start

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Ronaldinho will start for Brazil in Wednesday night’s friendly international against England at Wembley Stadium. We will have live football scores throughout the day.

There have mixed views on the return of Ronaldinho to the side, but coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has decided to reward the former World Player of the Year for his impressive season in the domestic league by confirming that he will be in his starting line up.

Chelsea midfielder Oscar, and Santos FC star attacker Neymar will also start against England, with Ramires, Paulinho and Luis Fabian all starting as well.

Chelsea defender David Luiz will captain the side, while Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar will be handed the starting gloves.

Daniel Alves, Dante and Adriano will also start.

Meanwhile, Scolari admits that he is still sadden at not being able to the England post when it was offered to him after the departure of Sven Goran Eriksson in 2006.

He said: “I still had a contract with Portugal national team and I was not willing to break that contract.

“Of course it hurts. It hurt a lot. I would have loved to be the manager of the England national team. Who wouldn’t?

“And who knows, you never know what might happen one day. It’s a wonderful national team. Tomorrow I’m sure I will talk to Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole and wish all the best.

“But it was my duty to fulfil that contract with Portugal.

“Imagine what would have happened if we had met in the 2006 World Cup and I already had the contract with the England national team.’
