LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Jack Wilshere is in the starting line-up for Arsenal in today’s Barclays Premier League home clash against QPR.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had been debating on whether to bring back the England midfielder, who recently returned to regular football, following a lengthy setback, and boss decided this afternoon that he was ready to go.
The game also see a return to Theo Walcott to the side, although he only starts the game on the substitutes bench. Bacary Sagna, who was doubtful for the contest starts as well for Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla will play in the midfield, while Lukas Podolski, who is being backed to score first and Olivier Giroud lead the attacking line.
A disappointed Gervinho in on the bench, as the manager believes his last two performances didn’t merit a starting place.
Anton Ferdinand and Djibril Cisse start on the bench for QPR, which is still searching for its first Premier League win this season, but Park Ji-Sung misses out because of injury.
