LOS ANGELES (News Media) — Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James, and a promising basketball talent in his own right, is in stable condition after suffering a cardiac arrest during a practice session at the University of Southern California (USC), according to a statement from a family spokesperson on Tuesday.
Media reports, including CNN and ESPN, claimed that the 18-year-old USC signee collapsed on the court Monday and was immediately treated by medical staff before being transported to a nearby hospital.
He has since been moved out of the intensive care unit and is currently in stable condition.

The 6’3″ playmaker was the No. 22 overall player and No. 5 combo guard in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2023 class. He’s part of an exciting freshman group at USC that includes Isaiah Collier, the No. 1 overall talent on the 247Sports composite list.
Bronny’s father, LeBron James, a four-time NBA champion and four-time MVP, has previously expressed his desire to play on the same team as his son once he reaches the professional level.
The elder James is set to enter his 21st season in the NBA and his sixth season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Support for Bronny and the James family has poured in from across the sports world, including from Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who himself suffered a cardiac arrest during a game last season.
