CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Thursday Night Football pits the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons together in a NFC South clash at the Bank of America Stadium, here in Charlotte.

Reports are suggesting that Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey will not play in this game.
The Associated Press said on Thursday on that the team has not announced the decision, but it is understood McCaffrey will miss the game. The Panthers (3-4) were hoping to have McCaffrey back for this game after the star back missed the last five games with a high ankle sprain,
However, it seems as though he will be given some extended rest days with the report saying the the 2019 All-Pro will get another 10 more days to recover before Carolina’s next game on Nov. 8 vs. Kansas City.
Mike Davis, who had 149 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in the Panthers’ 23-16 win over the Falcons when they met on Oct. 11, will continue to start at running back.
Meanwhile, defensive end Takk McKinley has been ruled out for the Atlanta Falcons (1-6).
McKinley will sit miss the encounter with a groin injury.
It will mark the fourth game in the past six weeks McKinley has had to sit out because of the injury and did not practiced this week. He had limited impact in recent times, having had just one tackle in last week’s 23-22 loss to Detroit.
With McKinley listed as inactive for this game against the Panthers, there will be more playing time for the likes of Allen Bailey, Charles Harris and Steven Means.
