Champions League Round of 16 Qualifiers

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Following the last round of the group stages on Wednesday night, these are the teams entering the Champions League round of the last 16 knock-out phase.

Heading the list of group winners are Manchester United, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Bayern Munich.

Amongst the teams going through as group runners-up are Arsenal, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Celtic.

It was a disappointing year for defending champions Chelsea, who became the first team to win the competition and then crashing out the following year.

Fellow Barclays Premier League outfits Manchester City were also dumped from Europe altogether after failing to win a game – at least Chelsea will be playing in the Europa League.

The draw and scheduled round of 16 is set for Dec. 20.
