Marin also had some help with his goal five-minutes before the half-time whistle, but both attacking players were impressive.
Striker Romelu Lukaku netted a braces, including the opening goal after just three-minutes and manager Roberto Di Matteo was delighted with the showings.
“It’s good for them in their first game for their new club,” Di Matteo said of the new boys on Chelsea official website at www.chelseafc.com.
“It was good to have a good understanding with their new tem-mates and I am pleased with the match today. We got out of it what we were looking for so it’s been a good evening. We didn’t get any injuries, so it’s so far so good.
“We were looking for a good work out, and we saw some good possession and combination play, integrating new players and seeing our younger talents in the club that will hopefully be the future.
“Hazard is a verstatile player, he can play in the role he played tonight but also out wide. Last season we didn’t have too many options in the role he played tonight apart from Juan, so it’s great for the club and the team to have different options.”
