Chelsea seek third successive league win against Newcastle United

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Chelsea have had a flying start to the season and the Barclays Premier League leaders will look to maintain its 100-percent start with another win when they take on Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Chelsea beat Wigan 2-0 in its opening game before outscoring Reading 4-2 in the second game of the season, while Newcastle United beat Tottenham in its lone game in the league this season.

The European champions have some problems at the back this week though, as captain John Terry could be forced to miss the game because of a neck injury, but David Luiz could return after missing the win over Reading.

Eden Hazard has been one of the highlight of the opening games so far for the Blues, while the fans are hoping Fernando Torres can keep add to his tally.

Meanwhile, after making a host of changes in the midweek Europa League playoff game, Newcastle boss Alan Pardew will name a strong line-up for this clash.

Captain and leading defender Fabricio Coloccini and top striker Demba Ba are also expected to return.
