Chelsea Transfer Target Falcao Scores Five Time Against Deportivo

MADRID (Sporting Alert) — Radamel Falcao scored five goals in Atletico Madrid 6-0 drilling of Deportivo in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday night.

Falcao, who has been strongly linked with a transfer move to Chelsea, scored the first of his five goals in the 28th minute and netted the last one in the 71st.

The goalscoring Columbian forward also found the back of the net in the 41st, 64th and 67th minutes. Diego Costa got the other goal for Atletico in the 23rd minute.

Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Falcao, who also admits that he would relish the opportunity to play for his boyhood favourite club, Real Madrid one day.

But Atletico Madrid have squashed these transfer rumors, saying that Falcao will remain with the club. The Spanish side also warned the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City that it will take Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo like money to take him away.

Chelsea are the biggest hunters, at least according to the transfer speculations, as the club still doesn’t trust Fernando Torres hot and cold spells.

Torres has been in good touch in his last two outings – scoring four goals in two games, including twice against Sunderland FC in the Barclays Premier League win on Saturday – but has been missing in action against the bigger teams.

Should Falcao make the move to the Premier League, he would join the likes of Torres and Sergio Aguero – former Atletico star strikers who left the Spanish side for England.
