Chicago Bulls lead New York Knicks, 54-39 at Half-time

NEW YORK (Sporting Alert) — Luol Deng has scored 14 points and eight rebounds for the Chicago Bulls to lead the New York Knicks 54-39 at half-time in the NBA clash at Madison Square Garden.

Also in double figures is center Joakim Noah, who has 11 points, six rebounds and three assists for the Bulls, which took a 30-23 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith each have 13 points to be the top scorers so far for the Knicks.

Anthony, who got off to a fast start, is currently shooting 6-of-15 from the field and has also knocked down a three-pointer.

Smith, who hit a classic three-point shot just before the buzzer at the first quarter, is shooting 5-of-12 from the field.

He’s also sunk both attempts from behind the arc thus far.

Guards Marco Belinelli and Kirk Hinrich both have eight points for Chicago, with the latter also pulling down seven boards and dishing out five assists.

The Knicks shot 34.8 percent field in the first half, while the Bulls were shooting 48.9 percent.
