NEW YORK, Sporting Alert – Jimmy Butler scored 22 points, Dwayne Wade entertained the Brooklyn fans, and the Chicago Bulls beat the Nets 118-88 in the NBA on Monday.
In other NBA scores on the night, the Clippers, Raptors and Hawks all picked up wins.
At the Barclays Center, Butler shot 6-for-10 from the floor and finished with 22 points and six rebounds and the Chicago Bulls, who had seven players in double figures, stayed undefeated this season.
Nikola Mirotic had 16 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks, Isaiah Canaan finished with 15 points and six assists and Taj Gibson ended with 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulls, who are 3-0 for the first time since 1996-97, when they went 69-13 and won the NBA title.
Meanwhile, Wade had 12 points, four assists and three steals and thrilled the Nets fans so much that they would boo whenever he passes the ball.
Bojan Bogdanovic, who fell victim to one of Wade’s crossovers, led the Brooklyn Nets with 15 points and Jeremy Lin ended with 14.
Brook Lopez and Sean Kilpatrick each scored 13 points for the Nets, who fell to 1-3 on the season.
At STAPLES Center on the same night, five players reached double figures for Los Angeles and the Clippers kept Phoenix Suns winless with a 116-98 victory at home.
Chris Paul collected 24 points, eight assists, five rebounds and two steals and Blake Griffin added 21 points, 11 rebounds and five assists and the Clippers improved to 3-0 for back-to-back seasons.
DeAndre Jordan, who played with a sprained right thumb, wrapped in tape, ended with 19 points and 11 rebounds, Jamal Crawford scored 14 points and J.J. Redick had 13 points in the win for the LA Clippers, who shot 50-percent on 40-for-80 shooting.
Brandon Knight scored 18 points, TJ Warren finished 15, Alex Len ended with 13 and former Clipper Eric Bledsoe contributed 12 points, eight boards and five assists for the Suns (0-4), who turned the ball over 20 times.
In other NBA scores on Tuesday night, DeMar DeRozan scored 33 points and Kyle Lowry had 29 points, seven assists and three steals to lead the Toronto Raptors to a 105-102 victory over the Denver Nuggets, while Dwight Howard ended with 18 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks and the Atlanta Hawks topped the Sacramento Kings 106-95.
