Bloomington, Indiana (Sporting Alert) — No. 1 Indiana ripped apart No. 14 North Carolina 83-59 in an almost one-sided second half performance at the Assembly Hall on Tuesday night.
Up 46-37 at half-time, the Hoosiers outscored the Tar Heels 37-22 to take the comfortable victory and once again showed the nation why they are the current top ranked team.
Star forward Cody Zeller led the way for Indiana with 20 points and nine rebounds, while Victor Oladipo and Will Sheehey both added 19 points in the win.
Jordan Hulls scored 12 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for the Hoosiers, who shot 44.6 percent from the field.
Dexter Strickland was the leading scorer for North Carolina with 14 points, while Marcus Paige added 11 in the defeat.
James Michael McAdoo, who scored 10 points and pulled down nine boards and Brice Johnson, 10 points, were also in double figures on the night.
