College Basketball ESPN3, WatchESPN Live Fixtures: Jan 20

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sporting Alert – College basketball games streaming live on ESPN3 and WatchESPN on Wednesday, January 20.

Among the highlighted clashes on the ESPN3 live fixtures is the matchup between Virginia Tech and Notre Dame from the Purcell Pavilion in South Bend, Indiana, with the game time set for 6:00 PM ET.

Both teams are on a two-game winning streak and will be looking to extend those respective runs with another victory as they seek to build some momentum in the ACC.

The Hokies (12-6, 4-1 ACC) beat Wake Forest and Georgia Tech in their last two outings and sit second behind North Carolina in the ACC standings at the moment.

Justin Bibbs was very impressive against Wake Forest after scoring a career-high 32 points in the victory, and although he was limited to just eight points against Georgia Tech, the sophomore guard heads into this battle averaging 12.5 points per game and shooting 52.3 percent from the floor.

Junior forward Zach LeDay, who has scored in double-digits in the last four games, and eight in the last nine, is averaging 15.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per matchup overall this term.

The Fighting Irish (12-5, 3-2 ACC) are coming off a pair of wins in their last outings, including a 95-91 victory over the then-No. 9 Duke, with junior guard Demetrius Jackson carrying most of the weight.

Jackson, who is averaging 21 points in the last two games, is contributing 17.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.4 rebounds per game overall this season.

Forward Bonzie Colson is coming off a career-high 31 points to go with 11 rebounds against Duke, and the Notre Dame sophomore is averaging 16.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in five conference games.

Overall, Colson is shooting 57.9 percent from the floor and averages 12.2 points and 7.1 boards per contest.

The AP top 25 ranked team in action on ESPN3 and WatchESPN on Wednesday is No. 15 Miami (FL) which travels to Massachusetts to take on Boston College at 8:00 PM in Silvio Conte Forum.

The Hurricanes (13-3, 2-2 ACC) are on a two-game skid after a pair of away losses to No. 13 Virginia and Clemson in recent outings.

Those defeats saw Miami’s eight-game winning streak coming to an end.

Boston College (7-10, 0-4 ACC) is presently soaking up a four-game losing streak and sits at the bottom of the league standings without a win in the ACC.

The Eagles have lost all four games against ranked opponents this season and could find the going tough against the Hurricanes at home.
