FORT, LAUDERDALE, Sporting Alert – College basketball top 25 scores from the games that were played on Tuesday night, November 24.

NO. 1 KENTUCKY 82, BOSTON UNIVERSITY 62

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Skal Labissiere scored 16 points in leading five players in double-figures and No. 1 Kentucky beat Boston University 82-62 in college basketball action on Tuesday night.

The freshman shot 7-for-13 from the floor and collected seven rebounds and three block shots in the win for the Wildcats (5-0) who pulled away in the second half.

Tyler Ulis added 15 points, six assists, six rebounds and three steals and Alex Poythress finished with a double-double of 14 points on 7-for-8 shooting and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Jamal Murray ended with 12 points and Isaiah Briscoe had 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals for Kentucky, which replaced North Carolina as the top-ranked team in the AP Top 25 college basketball poll.

John Papale led Boston University (2-3) with 15 points, while Kyle Foreman and Nathan Dieudonne each had 11 and Cheddi Mosely finished with 10 in the defeat.

The Terriers were outrebounded 45-27 by the Wildcats, who also forced 17 turnovers on the night.

No. 2 MARYLAND 77, ILLINOIS STATE 66

PUERTO AVENTURAS, Mexico — Rasheed Sulaimon scored 18 points on 50-percent shooting, and No. 2 Maryland beat Illinois State in the Cancun Challenge on Tuesday night.

Sulaimon, who shot 6-for-12 and hit two 3-pointers, also had four steals and four rebounds for the Terrapins (4-0), who moved away from Illinois State with successive 3-pointers after the Redbirds pulled within two points of the lead at 62-60 with 4:53 left.

Melo Trimble added 15 points and seven assists, Damonte Dodd scored 13 points, Jake Layman grabbed 12 points, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks and Robert Carter finished with 11 points, five rebounds and three blocks for Maryland, which will take on Rhode Island for the Riviera Division title on Wednesday.

Illinois State (2-3) was led by MiKyle McIntosh, who scored 17 points and Paris Lee added 15, five rebounds and four steals in the defeat.

Deontae Hawkins had 12 points and six rebounds for the Redbirds, who turned the ball over 17 times.
