(Sporting Alert) — The college football bowl action will pick up the pace on Thursday with three games on television, starting on ESPN at 3:00 pm ET.

The bowl honors on for Thursday are the Military Bowl, Belk Bowl and Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl.

At the RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., the 24 San Jose State will take on Bowling Green for the Military crown, before Duke, making a return to this stage of the post season, face Cincinnati in the Belk at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

The action on Thursday night concludes with what is expected to be an exciting match-up between the 17th-ranked UCLA Bruins and the Baylor Bears.

UCLA started well but faded in the second half of the season, including losing their last two games to Stanford, something head coach Jim Mora wants his players to remember and then quickly get over.

“We need to mourn a little bit,” Mora said. “We need to get over this one. We poured it out there and we came up short.

“We’ll eventually move on but this will sting for a while. You don’t get that close and lose and not have it hurt.

“Obviously, we have a lot of work to do to become the team we want to be.”
