College Football Bowl Schedule, Live TV Channel: Dec. 27

MIAMI, FL — College football bowl schedule, game times and TV channels on Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Four bowl games are listed on the schedule for today, with the first contest kicking off at 1:30 pm ET and the final fixture going off at 9:00 pm.

Three of the four games will be televised live on ESPN and stream live on WatchESPN. FOX and FoxSportsGo will provide coverage of the other game.

One of the highlighted games on the day is expected to come from Independence Stadium in Louisiana, where Florida State takes on Southern Mississippi in the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl.

The Seminoles (6-6) started the season with high expectations, after entering the season as the No. 3 team in the country.

However, after experiencing a troubled campaign, the Noles are hoping to conclude the term on a winning note as they seek to impress new head coach Willie Taggart, who will be watching from the stands.

“We had to go out and finish strong … in the classroom, at practice and (in the bowl game,” said Florida State interim head coach Odell Haggins, who has been retained by Taggart as defensive line coach.

“It’s bowl preparation time now, and we’re going to go out and be Florida State and have fun.”

According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, Florida State has an 86 percent chance of winning the game.

The Seminoles have won three straight and four in the last five overall.

Southern Mississippi has also won three in a row and six in the last eight.

The Golden Eagles and Florida State will be meeting for the 23rd time overall, but the for the first time since 1996 in a series that dates back to the 1952 season.

Elsewhere, Iowa and Boston College will battle in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium, in New York, while Arizona and Purdue will meet in the Foster Farms Bowl at Levi’s Stadium in California.

The other game will see Texas and Missouri battling in the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl at the NRG Stadium in Houston.
