No. 1 Alabama picked up an exciting 52-46 victory over No. 11 Florida to secure its 28th Southeastern Conference championship at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The victory gave the Crimson Tide their 11th successive win this season and coach Nick Saban was delighted that his team capped off the regular season with a perfect record.
Saturday triumph marked Alabama’s ninth SEC Championship Game win and seventh in a row. Najee Harris, Mac Jones and DeVonta Smith – all Heisman Trophy candidates – played a big part in the Tide’s win.

Meanwhile, in the ACC championship, No. 3 Clemson took care of No. 2 Notre Dame 34-10 with Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne impressing in the rematch.
In the Big Ten championship, No. 3 Ohio State stayed in the College Football Playoff conversation with a 22-10 win over No. 15 Northwestern. The Buckeyes were without several key players, including star wide receiver Chris Olave, one of the top receivers in the country.

No. 12 Oklahoma beat No. 8 Iowa State 27-21 to secure yet another Big 12 title.
