OMAHA, Neb. — Oregon State and Washington will battle in an elimination Game on Monday, as they seek to stay alive at the 2018 College World Series at TD Ameritrade Park here in Omaha.

The No. 3 ranked Oregon State ball club was shocked 8-6 by No. 6 North Carolina on Saturday and must beat Washington on Monday to stay in the NCAA tournament.
Washington, meanwhile, suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mississippi State in its first game and will seek to stave off elimination.
The Beavers (49-11) eased into College World Series, but stumbled in the early goings against the Tar Heels and failed in their recovery.
Game 2 on Monday will North Carolina (44-18) and Mississippi State playing in the winner’s bracket.
The Bulldogs earn a walk-off victory in a defensive battle against the Huskies on Saturday.
Junior Luke Alexander gave Mississippi State its third walk-off victory in its past eight NCAA tournament outings.
North Carolina outlasted Oregon State in the longest nine-inning game in College World Series history, which lasted for 4 hours, 24 minutes – surpassing the previous record of 4 hours, 21 minutes between Miami and Tennessee in 2001.
