Alabama Crimson Tide Football team players celebrates during the game

College Football scores on Saturday, December, 12, as No. 1 Alabama continues to roll, while No. 6 Florida was stunned by LSU and Miami (FL) was embarrassed by No. 16 North Carolina

The Crimson Tide closed out its regular season fixtures with a commanding 52-3 victory over Arkansas on road in what coach Nick Saban thought was the perfect preparation for this weekend’s SEC championship game.

However, Alabama’s opponent for the SEC title game, Florida was stunned by a LSU side that still has a losing record this season even after the latest win.

The Tigers (4-5, 4-5 SEC) put a major dent in the Gators’ push to make the College Football Playoff when they beat the home side 37-34.

Florida entered the game as the overwhelming favorite for the victory, but a last-minute field goal that was made possible because a Gators defender threw a shoe, resulted in a personal foul penalty that kept the active drive alive.

The Gators (8-2, 8-2 SEC) are ranked below Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson, Ohio State and Texas A&M in the CFP rankings.

Meanwhile, the tenth-ranked Miami was totally humiliated at home against the 17th-ranked North Carolina. The Tar Heels easily put away the Hurricanes 62-26.
