Crawford, Griffin help Clippers beat Pistons, earned 10 straight

Auburn Hills, Michigan (Sporting Alert) — Jamal Crawford and Blake Griffin each scored 15 points and the visiting Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Detroit Pistons 88-76 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

The victory saw the Clippers extending their win streak to 10 games, the franchise’s longest winning streak in 38 years.

Exciting point guard Chris Paul collected 14 points and dished out seven assists, while Caron Butler added 11 points and Matt Barnes chipped in with 10.

Lamar Odom matched his season-best with 11 rebounds in a reserved role, with center DeAndre Jordan pulling down ten boards to help the Clippers in its victory.

The on form Clippers are now just one win away from of equalling its longest streak of 11 successive wins, a feat that was achieved during the 1974-75 season when the club was the Buffalo Braves.

The Pistons battled to stay within touching distance all night with Brandon Knight leading the way with 16 points, five assists and five rebounds.

However, the bench of the Clippers was too good for the home side to handle and it ended up losing by 12.

Veteran Tayshaun Prince had 15 points, with Kyle Singler and Greg Monroe adding 11 apiece for Detroit, which dropped its fifth straight game.
