BANGALORE (Sporting Alert) — India are off to flying start in the 1st T20 International clash with Pakistan at Bangalore, on Christmas Day here on Tuesday.

A pack stand filled with 29,000 supporting fans are enjoying the opening game, as the hosts reached 75-0 after the first 10 overs.

Openers Ajinkya Rahane and Gautam Gambhir are both belting the Pakistan bowlers around the park with both batsmen hitting powerful sixes in the exciting start.

India brought its 50 runs with 6.5 overs and 41 balls, with just two extras 2, with Gambhir (21) and Rahane (27) going toe-to-toe on blows at this stage.

However, Rahane has since pulled off and is on 41 not out, which comes from 27 balls, including five boundaries and a six in the knock so far.

Gambhir is on 32 not out and his knock as so far come off 33 balls with one four and a six.

India will be hoping to reach anywhere in the area of 170-180 with this solid start.

Pakistan, at the same time will be hunting important wickets and make life difficult for the home side.
