HAMBURG (Sporting Alert) — A young Brazil and injury-hit Brazil team will start its final preparations for their London Olympic Games later on this with an outing against Denmark at Imtech Arena in Hamburg tonight.
With the likes of Neymar and Alexandre Pato out, Leandro Damiao was handed his fourth start for the national setup and he will start up top with Hulk.
Also in the starting line-up are Thiago Silva, Marcelo, Lucas Silva and Sandro.
Missing from the setup, however, is Chelsea defender David Luiz, who is out with a hamstring injury.
“David Luiz arrived having played so many games in a short time,” Brazil’s team doctor, Jose Luis Ronco, confirmed.
“He needs a special training, therefore he will be part of the camp in the United States, but he will probably not play any official matches.”
Denmark will be led by striker Nicklas Bendtner and the team also includes the likes of Daniel Agger, Simon Kjær, Christian Poulsen and Manchester United linked playmaker Christian Eriksen.
