LONDON (Sporting Alert) — David Beckham is being linked with a move to join French big spenders Paris St Germain, as he looks to continue playing at the highest level in football.
The Los Angeles Galaxy midfield ball distributor recently announced that he is to leave the MLS club after next month’s MLS Cup final against Houston, but does not intend to end his playing career just yet.
Beckham told the Major League Soccer website at www.mlssoccer.com: “I’ve had an incredibly special time playing for the LA Galaxy, however, I wanted to experience one last challenge before the end of my playing career.
“I don’t see this as the end of my relationship with the league as my ambition is to be part of the ownership structure in the future,” Beckham added.
Several reports have been linking the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star with a move to Brazil and Russia, but Sky Sports understand that PSG are leading the race to sign him.
It would be interesting to see the passing general Beckham linking up with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
