Demarcus Cousins paced Kings past Raptors

Toronto, Ontario (Sporting Alert) — Demarcus Cousins scored 31 points and pulled down 20 rebounds for the Sacramento Kings to beat host Toronto Raptors practice 105–96 at Air Canada Centre on Friday night.

Cousins’ 20 rebounds included 14 from the defensive ended, while from the field, he shot 11-of–18

John Salomons finished with 20 points while Jason Thompson had 14 points and six rebounds in the win for Sacramento who led 54-53 at the half.

Kyle Lowry paced the Raptors with 24 points on Alan Anderson and edit 20 points.

DeMar DeRozan added 14 points, Jose Calderon finished with 13, while Ed Davis contributed 13 rebounds and 11 points in defeat for the Raptors, which had a three-game winning streak snapped.

A dreadful third quarter where they only score 10 points on three of 21 field goal attempts contributed heavily to the Kings’ down night.
